OHSU Tuality Healthcare’s ¡Salud! Services program is a project of the Tuality Healthcare Foundation created in 1991 by a group of Oregon winery owners and Tuality Healthcare physicians to address the hurdles faced by vineyard workers who cannot meet their basic healthcare needs. Vineyard workers often move from crop to crop, and their temporary status makes them ineligible for health insurance.  Without insurance, these men, women, and their families often do not seek professional healthcare until their problems become acute. ¡Salud!’s mission is to fill this gap with mobile wellness clinics, patient navigation and resources that make a healthy life possible for vineyard workers and their families. Since 1991, ¡Salud! Services has been fully funded from the proceeds of the annual ¡Salud! The Oregon Pinot Noir Auction and other private donations.
