About Us

Hillsboro Medical Center's ¡Salud! Services program is a project of the Hillsboro Medical Center Foundation created in 1991 by a group of Oregon winery owners and physicians to improve the health and wellbeing of vineyard stewards and their families. Many vineyard stewards are uninsured or underinsured, and seeking medical care is financially and logistically challenging. Their knowledge of basic health education is limited, and they are overwhelmed by the maze of complex and confusing resources available in the medical system. ¡Salud!’s mission is to fill this gap with mobile wellness clinics, patient navigation and resources that make a healthy life possible for vineyard stewards and their families. Since 1991, ¡Salud! Services has been fully funded from the proceeds of the annual ¡Salud! The Oregon Pinot Noir Auction and other private donations.
