Rubin Chandran and Kim Cork cordially invite you to a tasting of the rarest of Oregon Pinot Noirs, the ¡Salud! Cuvées. Enjoy light bites and bid on special silent auction packages as you sip on aged wines at Boundary, Portland's premiere wine social club. All funds that are raised support the mission of ¡Salud!, to bring healthcare to vineyard workers and their families.

Rubin and Kim will dive deep into their own personal cellar to bring you a vertical selection of ¡Salud! Cuvée, blends from 2009-2013. 10 different ¡Salud! participating wineries were carefully chosen to exemplify the pinnacle of expression of Oregon Pinot. These are truly the rarest Oregon Pinots that are made. Only 5 cases were created of each of these wines by the winery specifically for the event, and they were only available for purchase on one day (the second Friday of November at the auction). These wines represent the best efforts of the premiere Oregon winemakers who are critically important to achieve Salud’s mission of providing affordable medical services to the workers that make our enjoyment of fine wine possible.
Silent auction packages will also be available; a partial list of items include:
1. VIP tasting for six guests at Domaine Serene with Rubin & Kim: Taste through a series of French and Oregon Chardonnays & Pinot Noirs in the exclusive members only section of the incredible new Domaine Serene clubhouse. As Gold Eagle members Rubin and Kim have access to the absolute best wines Domaine Serene has to offer, and the winery staff are committed to making this a memorable tasting experience for the lucky winners.
2. 3 -pack of Domaine Drouhin 2013 ¡Salud! Cuvee: ¡Salud! is a cause that is extremely important to Domaine Drouhin, and the winery has been participating in it since the inception of the charity 27 years ago. The top barrel of every vintage at DDO is usually used to create the ¡Salud! wine. In 2014 Rubin bought out the entire lot of the 2013 Drouhin wine at the ¡Salud! auction, so this will be your only opportunity to own the top 2013 DDO wine. Incidentally the 2012 Domaine Drouhin ¡Salud! (that is being opened at this event) was also bought out in its entirely, and this is your only chance to taste it.
3. Ekollon tasting (food and wine pairing) for 6 guests at Bergström Winery (with Rubin & Kim). A new tasting experience in the Dundee Hills at the Bergström Vineyard. The Ekollon experience begins with a taste of Champagne while exploring biodynamic practices in the vineyard and garden programs, all while enjoying views of the valley (weather permitting). Next, your host will guide you through the Bergström story and a tasting of our limited-production estate wines, including a selection of library wines. Each Ekollon experience includes a pairing menu designed by Josh and Caroline Bergström featuring seasonal, locally sourced, gourmet bites. Approximately 90 minutes. This is a semi-private tasting.
